Monitor resolution describes the visual dimensions of a given screen. Expressed in width and height, the monitor resolution consists of a certain number of pixels.
In the case of a monitor with the industry standard Full HD 1080p resolution, this screen has a resolution of 1920 x 1080, which means that the screen has a width of 1,920 pixels, while the height of the screen is 1,080 pixels. This results in a total of 2,073,600 pixels onthe screen.
